BELMONT MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of our church, under the guidance of God, is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to those throughout the world who will hear; to address the basic needs of the oppressed; and to meet the specific needs of all God's children through education and nurture that they may grow in wisdom and in faith.

Welcome to Belmont Boulevard Christian Church in Salina, Kansas. We were founded in 1962 with 12 Salina families from our mother church, First Christian. Since that time we have witnessed an amazing transformation of growth in numbers and depth of spirit.

As a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), which had its beginnings on the American frontier in the early 1800's, we believe in and work for unity and cooperation among all denominations and all Christians. We believe that faith in Jesus Christ is of more importance than any particular form of worship or church government.

Our Sunday Morning includes Sunday School Classes at 9:30 a.m. and Worship at 10:30 a.m. We have a wide variety of opportunities throughout the week and year for fellowship, outreach, study, worship and service as we seek to live up to our name, to indeed be Disciples of Christ, bearing witness to the good news of Jesus Christ in every aspect of our lives.

In service to Christ and this congregation,

Tara Thompson, Minister
